Noble to launch standalone EVM Layer 1 in March 2026

Noble will migrate from Cosmos to a standalone EVM Layer 1 on March 18, 2026, aiming for better scalability, tech, and stablecoin infrastructure.

Noble, a blockchain platform focused on stablecoins and real-world asset transfers, has announced its migration from the Cosmos ecosystem to a standalone Ethereum Virtual Machine (EVM) Layer 1 network, set for March 18, 2026. This move aims to achieve greater scalability, a more advanced technology stack, and access to a larger developer community. The new EVM chain will leverage Rust-based frameworks and the Reth Ethereum client, promising improved performance and flexibility. Noble’s migration will prioritize stablecoin-native use cases, especially the Noble Dollar (USDN), enabling faster development, enhanced composability, and broader integration with DeFi and payment systems. While Noble will maintain support for its Cosmos-based chain and IBC in the short term, all liquidity and development will gradually shift to the EVM network. Since 2023, Noble has processed over $22 billion in transactions and aims to become foundational stablecoin and FX infrastructure for other projects.
