Deutsche Börse and SocGen Launch MiCA Stablecoins Integration

Deutsche Börse and Societe Generale will integrate MiCA-compliant CoinVertible stablecoins into core market systems, enhancing settlement, collateral management, and liquidity for European financial markets.

Deutsche Börse Group has partnered with Societe Generale and its digital asset subsidiary SG-FORGE to integrate CoinVertible stablecoins, compliant with the EU’s MiCA regulation, into its core financial market infrastructure. The initiative will embed euro and US dollar CoinVertible stablecoins into Deutsche Börse’s post-trade systems, including Clearstream, to enhance settlement, collateral management, and treasury operations. This integration aims to enable instant, blockchain-based settlement of cash and securities, improving efficiency and liquidity while reducing counterparty risk. CoinVertible will also be listed on Deutsche Börse’s digital trading platforms, broadening access for institutional participants. The partnership will initially focus on using CoinVertible as a settlement and collateral tool, with plans to explore wider integration across Deutsche Börse’s service portfolio. This move is expected to bridge traditional financial markets and the crypto ecosystem, supporting 24/7 operations and real-time transactions within a regulated framework.
