Interactive Brokers launches 24/7 stablecoin funding

Interactive Brokers now lets clients fund accounts with stablecoins like USDC, offering 24/7 instant processing, low fees, and plans to support RLUSD and PYUSD soon.

Interactive Brokers has launched a new feature allowing eligible clients to fund their brokerage accounts using stablecoins, starting with USD Coin (USDC). This service enables near-instant, 24/7 deposits—including weekends and holidays—so clients can access 170 global markets within minutes. The integration is powered by Zerohash, which provides secure wallets and handles compliance, custody, and settlement. When clients deposit USDC, it is automatically converted to US dollars and credited to their accounts. While Interactive Brokers does not charge deposit fees, Zerohash applies a 0.30% conversion fee per deposit (minimum $1), and clients are responsible for blockchain network fees. The company plans to support Ripple’s RLUSD and PayPal’s PYUSD stablecoins soon. This initiative aims to streamline cross-border funding, offering faster, more flexible, and cost-effective solutions for international investors. Interactive Brokers also announced plans to launch its own stablecoin in the future.
