BloomTrading bot users lose $954K in wallet drain
BloomTrading bot users lost 9,408 SOL (~$954,000) in a wallet drain. Nine users were affected. BloomTrading paused services, is investigating, and pledged full reimbursement.
On October 26, 2026, users of BloomTrading, a Telegram-based trading bot, suffered losses totaling approximately 9,408 SOL—valued between $950,000 and $954,000—due to a series of wallet drains. Initially, 48 to 49 wallets were reported affected, but it was later clarified that the incident impacted nine users, with individual losses reaching up to $80,000. The largest single transfer involved 1,636 SOL, worth about $166,000. Investigations traced the stolen funds to a single drainer address, while USDC holdings in the compromised wallets remained untouched. In response, BloomTrading paused some services as a precaution and is examining a potential third-party compromise. BloomTrading has pledged to fully reimburse affected users by transferring funds to new, secure wallets and has instructed users to move assets to newly generated private-key wallets. This event underscores the risks of trading bots managing user keys and the need for robust security measures.
