X, the social media platform, has filed a lawsuit in the UK High Court against several Bitcoin-focused content creators, including Vivek Kumar Sen and Zamyang Sherpa, as well as unidentified account operators. The suit alleges these individuals coordinated multiple accounts to post identical or nearly identical content, artificially boosting engagement metrics and fraudulently obtaining at least £207,384 through X’s Creator Revenue Sharing Program. The accounts involved were suspended on August 18, and X formally submitted the legal action on September 17. X claims to have evidence such as linked Stripe accounts, overlapping device IDs, and shared email addresses connecting the alleged network. The company is seeking restitution, damages, and the return of payments under several causes, including fraud and conspiracy. Following the incident, X discontinued its Creator Revenue Sharing initiative and launched a new Original Content Rewards system. As of September 21, the claims remain unproven in court, with no public defense or judgment reported.
