Kraken’s parent taps Anthropic AI for crypto security

Payward, Kraken’s parent, joins Anthropic’s Project Glasswing to use Claude Mythos 5 AI for scanning software vulnerabilities, boosting crypto sector cybersecurity.

Payward, the parent company of Kraken, has joined Anthropic’s Project Glasswing, gaining access to the advanced Claude Mythos 5 AI model for cybersecurity. This collaboration enables Payward to scan its systems and open-source dependencies for software vulnerabilities, integrating the results into its existing security processes. Launched in April 2026, Project Glasswing provides vetted organizations with restricted access to Anthropic’s AI models, allowing them to proactively identify and address security flaws before they can be exploited. Payward’s involvement places it alongside major technology and financial firms already participating in the initiative. Vulnerabilities discovered in third-party open-source software will be reported to maintainers, potentially benefiting the broader crypto ecosystem. This move highlights the growing trend of leveraging AI-driven solutions to strengthen cybersecurity in the financial and crypto sectors.
