ZachXBT turns unwanted meme coins into $41K for relief

ZachXBT denied links to meme coins using his name, sold unsolicited tokens sent to his wallet, and donated the $41,000 proceeds to earthquake relief in Venezuela via Direct Relief and GiveDirectly.

ZachXBT has publicly denied any involvement with meme coins launched using his name and likeness across various blockchains. He emphasized that he has never supported, promoted, or planned to launch such tokens. After receiving unsolicited meme coins in his public donation wallet, ZachXBT liquidated all the assets, raising approximately $41,000. He donated the entire amount through The Giving Block to humanitarian organizations, including Direct Relief and GiveDirectly, to support earthquake relief efforts in Venezuela. Transaction records show donations of 25,000 USDT to GiveDirectly and 5,000 USDT to Direct Relief on July 6, along with a previous donation of 153 SOL (about $11,000) to Direct Relief on June 28. ZachXBT reiterated his stance against meme coins and warned traders not to assume any token using his name has his endorsement. This incident highlights a growing trend of developers using public figures' names to promote tokens without consent.
