Jaredfromsubway.eth MEV bot exploited for $7.5M
Jaredfromsubway.eth, a major MEV bot, lost over $7.5M after attackers exploited its trading system. The bot was behind 70% of Ethereum sandwich attacks from Nov 2024 to Oct 2025.
Jaredfromsubway.eth, a well-known MEV bot notorious for executing sandwich attacks on Ethereum, suffered a sophisticated exploit resulting in losses of over $7.5 million. The breach occurred on Saturday, when attackers deployed custom contracts designed to deceive the bot’s automated trading system. These contracts tricked the bot into granting token spending permissions, which were then exploited to drain its assets. Blockchain security firm Blockaid clarified that this incident was neither a typical phishing attack nor a standard smart contract vulnerability. Instead, it showcased a new method of targeting automated trading bots. Jaredfromsubway.eth has been responsible for about 70% of sandwich attacks on Ethereum between November 2024 and October 2025. While the bot has generated significant profits, this event underscores the risks associated with automated trading in decentralized finance.
