Binance has announced that its AI-powered security systems blocked approximately $10.53 billion in potential user losses from crypto scams, phishing, and malicious attacks between Q1 2025 and Q1 2026, protecting over 5.4 million users. The company deployed more than 24 AI initiatives and over 100 models to detect and prevent threats like account takeovers, phishing links, deepfake abuse, synthetic identities, card fraud, and AI-driven social engineering. In Q1 2026 alone, Binance intercepted 22.9 million scam and phishing attempts, safeguarding about $1.98 billion in user funds. AI-driven systems now manage 57% of fraud controls, contributing to a 60–70% reduction in card fraud rates compared to industry benchmarks. Additionally, Binance blacklisted over 36,000 malicious onchain addresses, issued more than 9,600 real-time risk warnings daily, and helped recover $12.8 million from 48,000 cases. The company notes that AI has made scams cheaper and more convincing, emphasizing the need for both advanced technology and user education to combat evolving threats.
