U.S. Treasury expands cybersecurity support for crypto
The U.S. Treasury will provide crypto firms with timely cyber threat intelligence, aligning their cybersecurity support with that of traditional financial institutions.
The U.S. Treasury has introduced a new cybersecurity initiative aimed at expanding access to cyber threat intelligence for digital asset firms. Through the Office of Cybersecurity and Critical Infrastructure Protection, eligible U.S. crypto companies and industry organizations can now receive timely, actionable cybersecurity information. Previously, this service was available only to traditional financial institutions. This initiative is designed to help digital asset firms better detect, prevent, and respond to cyber threats as their influence in global finance increases. The program follows recommendations from the President’s Working Group on Digital Asset Markets and is offered free of charge. By integrating crypto firms into the broader financial system’s security framework, the Treasury aims to strengthen the resilience and security of the entire financial ecosystem.
