MoonPay integrates Ledger for secure AI trading
MoonPay’s CLI wallet now supports Ledger hardware signing for AI agents, letting users securely verify and sign transactions while keeping private keys offline.
MoonPay has integrated Ledger hardware wallet signing into its command-line interface (CLI) wallet for MoonPay Agents, addressing a key security concern in autonomous crypto trading tools. With this update, users can now verify and sign every transaction generated by AI agents using a Ledger hardware device, ensuring private keys remain within the secure hardware environment at all times. This integration makes MoonPay’s CLI wallet the first agent-focused wallet to support Ledger’s secure signing via the Device Management Kit. The approach separates transaction execution from authorization: AI agents prepare transactions, but users must approve them on the hardware device, maintaining self-custody and minimizing private key exposure. Supporting operations across multiple blockchains, including Ethereum and Solana, this solution is set to enhance security and control for users involved in automated crypto trading and portfolio management.
