Bybit secures VARA license for spot trading in Dubai

Bybit has secured a VARA license for spot trading in Dubai, enabling it to serve retail, qualified, and institutional clients. This strengthens Bybit’s presence and supports Dubai’s digital asset ecosystem.

Bybit Fintech FZE has obtained a Virtual Asset Service Provider (VASP) license from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA), allowing the company to offer spot trading services in Dubai. This regulatory approval marks a major milestone for Bybit’s expansion in the Middle East and demonstrates its commitment to operating within established legal frameworks. The license enables Bybit to serve retail, qualified, and institutional clients for spot trading. However, derivatives trading will require further regulatory approval before launch. Bybit set up its international headquarters in Dubai in 2022 and received in-principle approval for the license in early 2024, leading to this full authorization. Bybit highlights its dedication to compliance, security, and risk management as it grows its global presence. This development is expected to boost investor confidence and support the growth of Dubai’s digital asset ecosystem, signaling broader acceptance of regulated crypto trading in the region.
