Coinbase-backed Stand With Crypto unveils endorsements

Stand With Crypto, backed by Coinbase, announced bipartisan endorsements for Senate and House races, focusing on candidates supporting clear crypto regulations after the Clarity Act's Senate failure.

Stand With Crypto, an advocacy group launched by Coinbase in 2023, has announced its first round of bipartisan endorsements for the 2026 US Congress elections. This move follows the Senate's failure to advance the Digital Asset Market Clarity Act, highlighting the group's commitment to supporting candidates who prioritize clear crypto regulations. The group is backing Senate candidates Jon Husted in Ohio, Ashley Hinson in Iowa, and Chris Pappas in New Hampshire. For the House, endorsements include Mariannette Miller-Meeks in Iowa and Shomari Figures in Alabama. Stand With Crypto evaluates candidates solely on their crypto policy positions, regardless of party affiliation, and is ramping up advertising in six key House races. These endorsements come amid polling that suggests Democrats could regain control of both chambers in 2027, potentially affecting future crypto legislation. Previously, the group endorsed 32 House incumbents in August, underscoring the growing influence of crypto advocacy in competitive races.
