Hyperliquid eyes U.S. launch, HYPE token surges
Hyperliquid is in talks with Kraken's parent to launch perpetual futures in the U.S. via Bitnomial. HYPE token surged above $83. The deal awaits regulatory approval.
Hyperliquid Labs is in advanced talks with Payward, the parent company of Kraken, to bring its perpetual futures products to the U.S. market via the regulated Bitnomial exchange. This move aligns with recent comments from President Donald Trump on compliant onboarding and comes as U.S. regulators push to shift offshore perpetuals trading onto domestic platforms. The negotiations aim to leverage Payward’s CFTC-regulated infrastructure, enabling on-chain perpetuals trading in full regulatory compliance. News of these discussions has sparked notable interest among traders, especially in the altcoin sector. Hyperliquid’s native token, HYPE, surged above $83, with its market capitalization climbing to between $17 billion and $21 billion. Any integration would require strict territorial restrictions and technical verification, and the agreement remains subject to regulatory approval. Both Payward and Hyperliquid Labs have declined to comment on the ongoing talks.
