Injective has reached a major milestone by registering its Institutional Services division as a transfer agent with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC). This makes Injective the first layer 1 blockchain to achieve this designation. With this registration, Injective can now maintain official securities ownership records and process ownership changes directly on-chain, removing the need for traditional intermediaries. This advancement adds a regulated market infrastructure to Injective’s growing tokenization ecosystem, which supports real-world assets (RWAs) and integrates with its tokenized issuance platform, Injective Mint. The SEC’s approval enables Injective to bridge blockchain-based tokens with authoritative ownership databases, streamlining reconciliation while enhancing transparency, automation, and compliance.
