Wintermute USA registers as broker-dealer with SEC, FINRA
Wintermute USA is now a registered broker-dealer with the SEC and FINRA, enabling it to trade stocks, options, and crypto-linked ETFs in U.S. regulated markets.
Wintermute USA, the American arm of crypto market maker Wintermute, has successfully registered as a broker-dealer with the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) and the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority (FINRA). This achievement allows Wintermute USA to trade stocks, options, commodities, and ETFs—including those tied to cryptocurrencies—while also providing liquidity to U.S. exchanges and over-the-counter counterparties. The registration marks a significant milestone in bridging digital assets with traditional finance. Wintermute USA is now positioned to participate in the growth of tokenized securities and expand its operations within regulated U.S. financial markets. Additionally, the company can now self-clear digital asset securities transactions and act as an authorized participant for exchange-traded products, further solidifying its role in the convergence of traditional and digital markets.
