Belgium flags six crypto firms after MiCA deadline

Belgium’s FSMA flagged six crypto firms for operating without MiCA authorization, urging consumers to verify providers and avoid unlicensed platforms.

Belgium’s Financial Services and Markets Authority (FSMA) has issued warnings against six crypto-asset service providers—Aurum Foundation, Bank Bit, Bithf Pro, Dxago, Global Dynamic Trade, and ZeriaFunding—for operating without the required authorization under the European Union’s Markets in Crypto-Assets (MiCA) regulation. These entities were added to the FSMA’s list of fraudulent providers following the expiration of the MiCA transitional period on July 1. From this date, all crypto service providers must obtain official authorization to operate within the EU. The FSMA strongly advises consumers to avoid these firms and to always verify a provider’s status through the official MiCA register. The regulator also reminded the public that crypto assets are volatile, may face liquidity limits, and are not covered by compensation schemes for losses. This enforcement action signals the start of stricter oversight of the crypto sector in Belgium and across the EU.
