BTSE Group unveils regulated crypto exchange in Indonesia

BTSE Group launched BTSE Indonesia, a regulated crypto exchange via joint venture and NVX rebrand, offering IDR trading and local bank integration under OJK license.

BTSE Group has officially entered Indonesia’s regulated cryptocurrency market through a joint venture with PT Aset Kripto Internasional, rebranding the local exchange NVX as BTSE Indonesia. The platform now operates under a license from Indonesia’s Financial Services Authority (OJK), authorizing it as a Digital Financial Assets and Crypto Assets Trading Operator (PAKD). With this regulatory approval, BTSE Indonesia can offer Indonesian rupiah (IDR) deposits, withdrawals, and trading pairs, while integrating with local banks and payment providers. The joint venture combines BTSE’s global trading technology and liquidity with a local team focused on customer acquisition, partnerships, marketing, and sales. The license also enables BTSE Indonesia to explore future regulated products, such as crypto futures, pending local regulatory approval. Indonesia’s evolving crypto regulations, including stricter compliance for market participants and influencers, have shaped BTSE’s entry, ensuring compliance, customer asset protection, and transparent operations.
