Securitize Secures EU Approval for Tokenized Securities on Avalanche
Securitize gains EU approval to operate a regulated tokenized securities platform on Avalanche, becoming the only firm licensed in both the US and EU. The first tokenized issuances are planned for early 2026.
Securitize has secured approval under the EU’s DLT Pilot Regime, making it the only firm licensed to operate regulated tokenized securities infrastructure in both the US and EU. The company’s new European platform, set to launch on Avalanche, will provide a fully regulated environment for issuing, trading, and settling tokenized assets across all 27 EU member states. Spain’s CNMV granted the authorization, which is passported to major European jurisdictions. Avalanche was chosen for its high throughput, low transaction costs, and customizable features, enabling near-instant settlement and compliance with institutional requirements. The platform combines trading venue and central securities depository functions, improving efficiency and transparency in tokenized markets. The first regulated tokenized issuances are planned for early 2026. Securitize’s dual licensing enables cross-border digital securities trading and positions the company as a pioneer in compliant tokenization infrastructure. The approval allows Securitize to bridge traditional finance with blockchain, enhancing accessibility and efficiency for institutional investors. The company has previously tokenized over $4 billion in assets and counts major institutions among its clients.
