Zerohash secures dual MiCAR and EMI licenses in Europe
Zerohash secures both MiCAR and Dutch EMI licenses, enabling regulated crypto and stablecoin services across Europe and strengthening its EU market position.
Zerohash has become the first crypto firm to secure both a Markets in Crypto-Assets Regulation (MiCAR) license and a full Electronic Money Institution (EMI) license from the Dutch central bank, De Nederlandsche Bank. This dual authorization enables Zerohash to offer regulated cryptocurrency services, stablecoin-based payments, and brokerage solutions throughout the European Economic Area. The EMI license provides a robust legal framework for managing electronic money flows and stablecoin operations. This allows Zerohash to serve banks, fintechs, brokerages, and payment providers under strict regulatory oversight. While MiCAR acts as a passport for crypto-asset service providers across the EU, stablecoin-related activities require additional EMI licensing. Zerohash’s achievement marks a major regulatory milestone, highlighting the maturation of Europe’s digital asset landscape and positioning the company as a leading infrastructure provider for compliant crypto and stablecoin services.
