Bhutan’s Mindfulness City fast-tracks crypto firms with perks
Bhutan’s Gelephu Mindfulness City launches a fast-track licensing and banking program for regulated crypto and fintech firms, offering multi-currency accounts, Bitcoin-backed loans, and zero-tax incentives.
Gelephu Mindfulness City (GMC), a special administrative region in Bhutan, has launched a fast-track licensing program to attract global crypto and fintech companies regulated in major financial centers such as Singapore, Hong Kong, and Abu Dhabi. This initiative streamlines company incorporation, regulatory approval, and corporate banking setup into a single application. DK Bank, GMC’s official banking partner, will provide licensed firms with multi-currency corporate accounts and Bitcoin-backed loans, while maintaining standard compliance procedures. The program also offers zero-tax incentives, aiming to reduce operational barriers and accelerate the entry of international companies into Bhutan. GMC positions itself as a competitive hub for digital asset innovation, offering regulatory clarity, immediate banking access, and a unified onboarding process for reputable firms expanding in South Asia.
