Binance secures Abu Dhabi nod for Ondo tokenized stocks

Binance won ADGM approval to list Ondo’s tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs, marking the first such authorization in Abu Dhabi and Binance’s return to regulated tokenized equities trading.

Binance has secured regulatory approval from the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) to list and trade Ondo Finance’s tokenized U.S. stocks and ETFs on its regulated Multilateral Trading Facility. This marks the first time ADGM has authorized trading of tokenized securities under its framework, allowing UAE-based financial institutions and intermediaries to access tokenized versions of equities such as Amazon, Alphabet, Apple, Circle, Meta, Microsoft, Nvidia, Tesla, SPDR S&P 500 ETF Trust, and Invesco QQQ ETF. These products are available to non-U.S. users and are structured as equity-linked notes backed by underlying shares. The move represents Binance’s return to the tokenized equity market after suspending similar services in 2021, now operating under a formal regulatory regime in the Middle East. Ondo previously obtained regulatory clearance in Europe, further expanding its international presence in regulated markets.
