This achievement comes nearly four years after the company withdrew its initial application in March 2022. With FCA registration, Blockchain.com can now offer brokerage, custodial, and institutional-grade crypto services across the UK, all under strict anti-money laundering and counter-terrorism financing regulations. The approval follows a rigorous vetting process and highlights the company’s longstanding presence in the British crypto ecosystem, with roots in York and London. Currently, the license covers a defined range of crypto activities, but a broader regulatory framework is anticipated by the end of 2024.
