Bitcoin bear market over: Is it time to buy?

Analysts say Bitcoin’s bear market ended in June. Strong technicals and reduced selling by long-term holders make current prices attractive, but caution is advised if key support fails.

Galaxy Research and several analysts report that Bitcoin’s bear market ended in June, marking the start of an accumulation phase. The cryptocurrency has recently traded near $80,000—about 36% below its October 2025 peak, yet well above its June low. Technical indicators are encouraging: Bitcoin has closed above its 50-week moving average for five consecutive weeks after spending 44 weeks below it. Additionally, the movement of coins from long-term holders has slowed, with monthly transfers from five-year-old wallets dropping from 67,000 BTC in 2024 to 34,000 BTC in 2026. Much of this supply has been absorbed by ETFs and public companies. Analysts highlight macroeconomic factors, such as rising U.S. debt and high Treasury yields, which strengthen Bitcoin’s appeal as a hedge. However, caution remains: if Bitcoin closes below $76,540 for a week and fails to recover within a month, the bullish outlook could be challenged. Overall, the current correction is viewed as an attractive entry point for long-term investors.
