Machi Big Brother loses $12M, resumes trading after loss
Machi Big Brother lost over $12M after his Hyperliquid account was liquidated, dropping to $21.8K. He quickly resumed trading, opening a new 25x leveraged long on Ethereum.
Machi Big Brother, also known as Jeffrey Huang, experienced a dramatic loss in the crypto market. His Hyperliquid trading account, which had surged from $56,000 to over $12 million in just four months through leveraged trading, was fully liquidated. The account balance dropped sharply to only $21,800 after a series of leveraged trades went against him as the market declined, with Bitcoin falling below $81,000 and Ethereum nearing $2,380. Despite this significant setback, Machi quickly resumed trading. He opened a new 25x leveraged long position on Ethereum shortly after the liquidation. This incident highlights the extreme risks and volatility associated with high-leverage trading in the crypto market, where substantial gains can be wiped out by sudden market movements.
