Hyperliquid dominates with $240B perpetual futures volume

Hyperliquid dominates perpetual futures with $240B in 30-day volume, outpacing Arbitrum and Solana. Real-world asset trading now makes up nearly 50% of its activity.

Hyperliquid has emerged as the leading platform in the perpetual futures market, recording nearly $240 billion in trading volume over the past 30 days, according to sources like CryptoRank and DeFiLlama. This figure is five times higher than its closest competitor, Arbitrum, which reported $47.2 billion. Other platforms, including Solana, Lighter, Ethereum, and edgeX, trail significantly behind. Notably, the combined trading volume of these five competitors is still less than Hyperliquid's alone. The platform’s activity is concentrated almost exclusively on derivatives, with its token price currently at $0. Recent data highlights a dramatic rise in real-world asset trading on Hyperliquid, increasing from 2% to nearly 50% of total volume since January. This growth signals heightened trader engagement and liquidity, as well as a shift in market sentiment toward tokenized assets. Despite the arrival of new competitors, Hyperliquid’s dominance remains unchallenged. Its fee structure supports buybacks through the Assistance Fund. Market observers are closely monitoring for further developments and regulatory changes that could influence Hyperliquid’s trajectory.
