Binance flags 4 tokens, signals delisting risk

Binance flagged AVA, GNS, SCR, and TOWNS as higher risk, with TOWNS and SCR seeing the largest price drops. Fourteen tokens were also removed from Binance's Alpha list.

Binance has added AVA, Gains Network (GNS), Scroll (SCR), and Towns Protocol (TOWNS) to its Monitoring Tag list as of September 4, 2026, following recent project reviews. The Monitoring Tag signals that these tokens are considered higher risk and more volatile than other listed assets, subjecting them to increased scrutiny and regular assessments. If these tokens fail to meet Binance’s listing standards—including team commitment, development activity, trading volume, liquidity, network security, tokenomics, and project conduct—they may be delisted from the exchange. Following the announcement, TOWNS and SCR experienced the steepest price declines, with TOWNS dropping up to 10% and SCR about 9.4%. AVA and GNS also declined, though GNS recovered much of its initial loss. The differing market reactions suggest that liquidity and investor confidence influence how traders respond to added risk. Additionally, Binance removed fourteen tokens from its Alpha recommendation list, though this does not affect their tradability on the main platform. These actions highlight Binance’s ongoing efforts to uphold compliance and market integrity amid changing market conditions.
