Bitcoin set for breakout: bullish patterns and targets
Bitcoin nears a breakout, with bullish patterns and weakening resistance at $65,000. Analysts target $72,669–$76,698, with potential for more gains if macro conditions improve.
Bitcoin is on the verge of a significant technical breakout, with analysts pointing to strong bullish momentum and the emergence of key chart patterns. Notably, an inverse head and shoulders and a falling wedge have formed on the 6-hour BTC/USD chart. The left shoulder appeared in June, the head near $57,800 in early July, and the right shoulder by mid-July. Recently, Bitcoin broke above the descending resistance of a multi-week falling wedge, a move that typically signals upward price potential. Technical targets are set between the 1.618 Fibonacci level at $72,669 and the 2.0 level at $76,698. The $65,000 level remains a crucial resistance point. Weakening selling pressure and the development of an ascending triangle further support the bullish outlook. While a short-term breakout is likely, some analysts expect Bitcoin to consolidate between $60,000 and $80,000 for the rest of the year. A push toward $100,000 could occur if macroeconomic and regulatory conditions become favorable.
