American Bitcoin Corp. will implement a 1-for-15 reverse stock split effective July 2, 2026, following shareholder approval at its June 22 annual meeting. This move will reduce the company’s outstanding shares from about 1.09 billion to approximately 73 million, with Class A shares dropping to around 24 million and Class B shares to about 49 million. The company’s stock will begin trading on a split-adjusted basis on Nasdaq under the ABTC ticker starting July 6. The reverse split aims to boost the per-share price, helping ABTC comply with Nasdaq’s $1 minimum bid requirement. This follows a period where shares plunged to record lows near $0.61, with losses exceeding 41% in a month and nearly 86% over the past year. American Bitcoin reported a net loss of nearly $82 million in Q1 2026. This marks the company’s third reverse split in less than two years, underscoring persistent challenges in the crypto and bitcoin mining sector.
