Nasdaq brings real-time market data to blockchain

Nasdaq will distribute its TotalView market data via Pyth Network, enabling programmable, real-time equity data access for blockchain-based applications and expanding Wall Street’s blockchain integration.

Nasdaq is expanding access to its flagship equity market data product, TotalView, by distributing it through the Pyth Network’s blockchain-based data marketplace. This integration allows developers, financial applications, and institutional users to access Nasdaq’s full depth-of-book information in a programmable format, moving beyond traditional terminals and dedicated feeds. The initiative highlights Wall Street’s growing shift toward blockchain-compatible infrastructure and tokenized assets. TotalView offers comprehensive visibility into every buy and sell order at each price level for securities traded on Nasdaq, as well as those listed on NYSE and regional exchanges. By making TotalView available on the Pyth Network, Nasdaq aims to broaden access to institutional-grade market data for decentralized financial applications and software developers. This move reinforces Pyth Network’s goal of becoming a unified financial data layer and supports ongoing efforts to bridge traditional finance with blockchain technology, including partnerships for tokenized stocks and ETFs.
