SPX6900 surges after Upbit, Bithumb listings
SPX6900 jumped over 10% after Upbit and Bithumb listings with KRW, BTC, and USDT pairs. Trading volume and retail demand surged, but volatility risks persist.
SPX6900, a memecoin parodying the S&P 500, has been listed on South Korea’s largest crypto exchanges, Upbit and Bithumb. The token is now available for trading in KRW, BTC, and USDT pairs, which has driven its price up by more than 10–15% and sharply increased trading volumes. Launched in August 2023 on Ethereum and later expanding to Solana and Base, SPX6900 now benefits from direct access to Korea’s active retail market and enhanced liquidity. Technical indicators, including rising open interest, higher trading volumes, and accumulation by major players, suggest ongoing demand. Upbit introduced initial price limits to manage volatility, and the multi-pair listing offers traders flexibility. The exchange access has boosted SPX6900’s adoption, credibility, and market cap, with the next resistance level near $0.45–$0.46. However, if trading volumes decline, a rapid price reversal remains a risk.
