SharpLink Moves $170M ETH to Linea, Unleashing Institutional DeFi

SharpLink has deployed $170 million in Ethereum on Linea, combining staking, restaking, and yield strategies under strict institutional custody, aiming to maximize returns and signal growing institutional interest in Ethereum and DeFi.

SharpLink has deployed $170 million worth of Ethereum on the Linea Layer-2 network, marking a significant move in institutional crypto asset management. The deployment, executed in collaboration with Anchorage Digital, ether.fi, and EigenCloud, is structured to provide regulated access to staking, restaking, and multi-layered yield opportunities within the Ethereum ecosystem. The ETH allocation transitions SharpLink’s holdings from passive storage to active, on-chain yield generation, leveraging native Ethereum staking yields, restaking rewards from EigenLayer, and additional incentives from Linea and EtherFi. Anchorage Digital acts as the qualified custodian, ensuring assets remain under strict custody and compliance frameworks. This initiative is designed to address institutional concerns about security and operational risks, while maximizing returns through a combination of yield strategies. SharpLink’s approach is described as the most productive way to hold ETH with institutional-grade infrastructure, reflecting a broader trend of increasing institutional interest in Ethereum and DeFi. The company maintains over 859,000 ETH for potential future restaking, with expectations that traditional finance capital will increasingly flow into Ethereum as regulatory clarity improves.
