Strategy Inc. has significantly expanded its Bitcoin holdings, acquiring an additional 1,287 BTC between late December and early January, bringing its total to 673,783 BTC at an average purchase price of $75,026 per coin. The company funded these purchases by selling nearly 2 million shares of common stock through its at-the-market (ATM) program, raising $312 million in net proceeds. Strategy also leverages its STRC preferred shares, which are trading near $100, to raise capital for further Bitcoin accumulation while minimizing dilution of common shares. The STRC mechanism acts as a leveraged Bitcoin play, offering shareholders potential gains if Bitcoin appreciates, with the main risk being if the company's stock fails to keep pace with Bitcoin's price. As of January 4, 2026, Strategy maintains a $2.25 billion USD reserve to support dividends and interest payments. The company's aggressive Bitcoin acquisition strategy has led to a rise in its stock price, reflecting market confidence in its approach to digital asset management.
