Amazon eyes $7 billion deal for AI startup Decart

Amazon is in talks to acquire AI startup Decart for $7B. Decart enables switching AI workloads between chips and is known for its Lucy and Oasis models. No final deal yet.

Amazon is reportedly in advanced talks to acquire artificial intelligence startup Decart for approximately $7 billion. Decart develops software that allows developers to seamlessly switch AI workloads between different chips, including NVIDIA GPUs, Google TPUs, and Amazon's Trainium chips. The company is also recognized for its AI models Lucy, which enables real-time video editing, and Oasis, which creates interactive virtual environments for robotics and gaming applications. In May 2026, Decart completed a $300 million funding round, reaching a $4 billion valuation with investors such as Radical Ventures and NVIDIA. Previously, Anthropic considered acquiring Decart for around $6 billion but did not proceed. While Amazon and Decart are in discussions, no final agreement has been reached, and both companies have declined to comment. The potential deal is viewed as a strategic move for Amazon to strengthen its AI infrastructure and chip ecosystem.
