Coinbase Pro relaunch and Deribit integration unify markets
Coinbase will relaunch Coinbase Pro by 2026 and has integrated Deribit, forming Coinbase Global Exchange. The unified platform offers advanced trading tools and connects U.S. and global derivatives markets.
Coinbase has announced it will relaunch its professional trading platform, Coinbase Pro, by the end of 2026 as part of its "Everything Exchange" strategy. The revamped platform will support spot trading, futures, perpetual contracts, options, and stocks, catering to active traders with advanced tools and enhanced execution. Coinbase has also finalized its $2.9 billion acquisition of Deribit in August 2025, resulting in the creation of Coinbase Global Exchange. This integration unifies U.S. and international crypto derivatives markets into a single liquidity pool, providing access to over $30 billion in Bitcoin options open interest and more than $1 trillion in processed volume. New Deribit-powered options, spot margin, and unified portfolio features will launch in the coming weeks. U.S. institutional clients can access Deribit options and perpetual futures via Coinbase Prime, with onboarding underway and options trading expected soon. Eligible non-U.S. traders will gain access to options in the coming weeks, with U.S. retail traders to follow later this year.
