Ondo Finance launches tokenized pre-IPO exposure

Ondo Finance launches tokenized notes for pre-IPO private company exposure. Tradable 24/7, these notes offer economic upside without ownership and target eligible non-US investors.

Ondo Finance has introduced Ondo Private Markets, a platform designed to offer tokenized notes that provide economic exposure to leading private companies. The first offering tracks a pre-IPO artificial intelligence firm, though the company remains unnamed. These tokenized notes mirror the per-share value of the referenced company during qualifying liquidity events, such as IPOs or acquisitions, but do not confer direct ownership or shareholder rights. The notes are tradable around the clock on secondary markets and are available to eligible non-US investors in permitted jurisdictions. Ondo Finance plans to expand the platform to include companies in sectors like robotics, cybersecurity, biotech, and infrastructure. This initiative aims to democratize access to high-growth private firms—traditionally reserved for institutions and venture capitalists—by leveraging blockchain technology for increased accessibility and liquidity. Ondo’s infrastructure already supports billions in total value locked and over a million holders, highlighting the growing demand for tokenized real-world assets.
