BNY and Payward in talks for major crypto partnership
BNY and Payward, Kraken’s parent, are in talks for a broad digital asset partnership, including custody, trading, and payments. No agreement has been finalized yet.
BNY is currently in active discussions with Payward, the parent company of crypto exchange Kraken, regarding a potential partnership. This collaboration could span digital assets, custody, trading, payments, wealth management, and financial infrastructure. The talks involve Payward Services, a B2B platform that already serves banks, exchanges, and asset managers. The partnership may resemble Payward’s recent deal with Nasdaq and could include Bitcoin custody solutions. Both companies have declined to comment, and there is no guarantee that an agreement will be reached. If successful, this deal could further integrate digital asset services into traditional finance, expanding institutional offerings and leveraging the strengths of both firms.
