WisdomTree and MoonPay partner to offer the tokenized WTGXX fund to U.S. retail investors and plan to use it in MoonPay’s stablecoin reserves.

WisdomTree and MoonPay have formed a strategic partnership to expand access to the WisdomTree Treasury Money Market Digital Fund (WTGXX), a tokenized money market mutual fund, for U.S. retail investors. Leveraging MoonPay’s network of over 35 million accounts and 1,700+ partners, this collaboration introduces a new entry point for tokenized funds beyond WisdomTree’s traditional broker-dealer channels. MoonPay also plans to integrate WTGXX into its stablecoin reserve management, connecting regulated securities with digital payments infrastructure. WTGXX is an SEC-registered fund investing in short-term U.S. Treasury and government securities, aiming to maintain a stable $1.00 per share value. The fund uses blockchain technology for recordkeeping and is available as tokens on multiple blockchains. This partnership is expected to pave the way for additional tokenized fund offerings, with potential expansion into global markets.
