Strategy, the largest corporate holder of Bitcoin, maintained its reserves at 845,050 BTC during the latest reporting period, with no new purchases or sales. Instead, the company focused on repurchasing STRC preferred stock, spending approximately $152–176 million and doubling its Digital Credit Securities Repurchase Program authorization from $1 billion to $2 billion. This shift in capital allocation follows a recent purchase of 4,603 BTC at the end of August, which ended a 10-week buying pause. Meanwhile, Strive increased its Bitcoin holdings by acquiring 1,375 BTC for about $109 million. Strategy’s treasury approach has evolved from simple accumulation to a more active model, including both buying and selling Bitcoin and prioritizing preferred securities repurchases. The company’s Bitcoin position, acquired at an average price of $75,412 per coin, is now valued at over $66 billion, with unrealized profits exceeding $2 billion. Observers are watching for further updates on Strategy’s future Bitcoin acquisitions and capital allocation plans.
