Solmate to Acquire RockawayX, Creating $2B Solana Crypto Giant
Solmate will acquire RockawayX in an all-stock deal, forming a $2 billion crypto group focused on Solana infrastructure, staking, and asset management. The merger is expected to close in early 2026, pending approvals.
Solmate has signed a non-binding term sheet to acquire RockawayX in an all-stock deal, aiming to create a unified crypto group with over $2 billion in combined assets under management and third-party stake. The merger will integrate RockawayX’s infrastructure, liquidity, and asset management units into Solmate, transforming Solmate from a passive digital asset treasury into an operating crypto business. The combined entity will continue trading under the SLMT ticker on Nasdaq, with Marco Santori as CEO and Viktor Fischer as executive chairman. Jakub Havrlant will join the board. RockawayX brings on-chain market making, lending, and solver services, as well as venture and credit funds managing about $1.04 billion, and around $1.1 billion staked to its validators. The new group plans to expand validator operations in the UAE, provide reduced latency for traders, and serve as a primary hub for Solana ecosystem staking. The deal, expected to close in the first half of 2026, is subject to regulatory and shareholder approvals. Following the announcement, SLMT stock rose over 11%.
