Southeast Asia crypto funding doubles to $680M in 2026
Southeast Asia’s blockchain funding hit $680M in 2026, more than doubling last year, with most capital in a few large deals led by Crypto.com’s $400M round. Deal count dropped to 25, with Singapore leading.
Southeast Asia’s blockchain sector has raised $680 million so far in 2026, more than double the $319 million secured in all of 2025, according to Tracxn data. This surge is driven by a smaller number of larger investments, with only 25 funding rounds completed compared to 46 last year and 206 in 2022. A $400 million Series D round by Crypto.com, backed by Citadel Securities, accounts for nearly 60% of the total. Other notable deals include $100 million for Edena Capital and $50 million for Startale. The average deal size has risen to $27.2 million, reflecting a trend toward bigger checks for more mature companies. Crypto financial services attracted $498 million across 19 rounds, and Singapore remains the dominant hub, accounting for 82.5% of the region’s $6.2 billion in historical funding. Despite the rebound, funding levels remain below the 2022 peak of $2.2 billion.
