DeFi Development Corp. launches $20M Solana-focused offering
DeFi Development Corp. is offering up to $20M in preferred stock to fund Solana and digital asset investments, with a 13% initial dividend and non-dilutive capital structure.
DeFi Development Corp. has launched a public offering of up to $20 million in Series C variable-rate perpetual preferred stock, named CHAD Stock. Each share is priced at $9, with a $10 stated value and an initial 13% annual dividend rate. The offering, managed by R.F. Lafferty & Co., covers 2.2 million shares, potentially rising to 2.53 million shares and $22.77 million if the underwriter’s option is exercised. Dividend payments will begin on October 1 and may be adjusted monthly. The raised funds will support working capital, acquisitions, digital asset investments, and, notably, the expansion of the company’s Solana (SOL) holdings. This initiative aims to strengthen DeFi Development’s digital asset treasury and provide investors with leveraged exposure to Solana. The structure offers capital flexibility without diluting common shareholders, reflecting a broader trend of public companies increasing crypto allocations.
