Capital B raises €21M to boost bitcoin holdings

Capital B raised €21M in a private placement to buy about 270 more bitcoins, potentially increasing its holdings to 3,415 BTC. Investors include Adam Back and TOBAM.

French Bitcoin-focused firm Capital B has completed a €21 million private placement, issuing approximately 36.22 million shares with attached warrants to global institutional investors at €0.58 per share. Notable participants in the round included Adam Back and asset manager TOBAM, with Maxim Group acting as the exclusive placement agent. After expenses, net proceeds are estimated at €19.9 million. The company plans to use the funds to acquire around 270 additional bitcoins, which would bring its total holdings to approximately 3,415 BTC. If all warrants are exercised, Capital B could raise up to €135.8 million more, depending on investor participation and share price performance. The placement was executed without pre-emptive subscription rights, allowing new investors to join. Closing is expected by August 31, ahead of a planned one-for-ten reverse stock split on September 8, 2026. The additional bitcoin purchase is planned but not yet completed.
