Sharplink boosts ETH treasury with $91M staking move

Sharplink Gaming staked 39,319 ETH ($91M), raising its treasury to 888,938 ETH. The move generated $11.2M in Q2 staking revenue, despite a $394.3M net loss, reflecting growing institutional interest in Ethereum.

Sharplink Gaming has expanded its Ethereum holdings by staking an additional 39,319 ETH—worth about $91 million—in a single transaction. This move brings the company’s total ETH treasury to over 888,938 ETH, making it one of the largest institutional holders after Bitmine Immersion. Sharplink has shifted its strategy by converting reserves into productive assets, allocating most of its ETH to staking and liquid staking derivatives instead of keeping them idle. This approach generated $11.2 million in staking revenue in Q2 2026, helping offset a net loss of $394.3 million caused by Ether’s price decline. The company’s ongoing accumulation and staking activities highlight a broader trend of institutional interest in Ethereum. Sharplink continues to diversify between native ETH and liquid staking tokens, aiming to maximize on-chain revenue and increase ETH per share.
