Ostium Secures $24M to Revolutionize On-Chain RWA Trading

Ostium raised $24M to expand its decentralized platform for perpetual futures on real-world assets, aiming to modernize trading with self-custody, transparent execution, and broad asset coverage.

Ostium, a decentralized platform for trading perpetual futures on real-world assets (RWAs) such as stocks, commodities, indices, and FX, has raised $24 million in new funding, including a $20 million Series A co-led by General Catalyst and Jump Crypto, and a $4 million strategic round. Built on Arbitrum, Ostium enables on-chain trading with self-custody, transparent execution, and a quote-based pricing model that sources from off-chain venues. The platform has processed $25 billion in cumulative trading volume, with over 95% of open interest in traditional markets and $5 billion in metals trading. Ostium aims to modernize commodity and RWA trading by bridging traditional markets with DeFi, offering high-speed, low-fee trading, and targeting non-U.S. investors seeking access to U.S. markets. The new funding will be used to expand asset coverage, scale infrastructure, and further disrupt the global CFD broker market with transparent, self-custodied execution.
