Cypherpunk Technologies has unveiled the world’s largest Zcash mining fleet after completing a $33.33 million equity-based transaction with Winklevoss Capital. The new fleet, operating across U.S. facilities, delivers approximately 4.2 GSol/s of Equihash hashrate, representing about 18% of the total Zcash network. This move positions Cypherpunk as the leading active Zcash miner, providing investors with exposure to both mining operations and the company’s treasury. Currently, Cypherpunk’s ZEC treasury holds 323,394.38 tokens, with an ambitious goal to reach 5% of the total Zcash supply. The acquisition included advanced Z15 Pro mining hardware and comprehensive hosting agreements. Kevin Zhang has been appointed to lead the mining division. Following the announcement, Cypherpunk’s stock rose by 2.79% in pre-market trading. The company plans to use Zcash mining proceeds to fund future growth, acquire more ZEC, and invest in privacy-preserving technologies, reinforcing its leadership in the privacy technology sector and the Zcash ecosystem.
