Kraken unifies US stocks, xStocks, and crypto trading in Europe
Kraken now lets EEA users trade 7,000+ US stocks, 700+ xStocks, and 600+ crypto assets in one regulated account, unifying traditional and digital assets.
Kraken has expanded its platform for eligible customers across the European Economic Area (EEA), now offering trading in over 7,000 US-listed stocks. This move extends Kraken’s services beyond cryptocurrencies and tokenized stocks, allowing EEA users to access traditional US equities, more than 700 tokenized xStocks, and over 600 crypto assets—all within a single regulated account via Kraken Pro on desktop and mobile. The rollout, which started in Germany, the Netherlands, and France, is now available throughout the EEA. Kraken stands out as the only crypto-native platform in the region to provide both traditional US stocks and tokenized versions side-by-side. This enables customers to choose between direct share ownership or blockchain-based representations without transferring funds between platforms. Kraken’s stock trading service operates under MiFID II rules through its Cyprus-based entity. xStocks are fully collateralized and backed 1:1 by underlying shares, with over $38 billion in transaction volume since June 2025. This unified approach bridges the gap between traditional and tokenized assets, offering flexibility and convenience for European investors.
