Strategy sells $334M in MSTR, holds Bitcoin, boosts liquidity

Strategy sold $334M in MSTR shares, repurchased $132M in STRC, paid $52M in dividends, and added $149M to its USD reserve. No Bitcoin was bought or sold, holdings remain at 840,447 BTC.

Strategy raised about $334 million by selling 3.46 million MSTR shares between August 10 and 16, 2026. During this period, the company did not buy or sell any Bitcoin, maintaining its holdings at 840,447 BTC. Of the proceeds, $132.2 million was used to repurchase 1.39 million STRC preferred shares, while $52.4 million was allocated for STRC dividend payments. The remaining $149.1 million was added to Strategy’s USD reserve, which rose to $4.8 billion as of August 16. No transactions were made involving STRF, STRK, or STRD preferred shares. This pause in Bitcoin acquisitions aligns with a broader slowdown in net Bitcoin purchases by global listed companies. Strategy’s recent actions highlight a focus on capital structure management and liquidity, rather than expanding its Bitcoin position.
