Anthropic’s $2T IPO buzz, SpaceX’s $60B Cursor deal
Anthropic eyes a $2T IPO as revenue surges. SpaceX acquires Cursor for $60B, boosting AI. Ron Baron predicts SpaceX could hit a $40T valuation in 10–15 years.
Anthropic is reportedly preparing for an IPO that could value the company at $2 trillion, with some investors suggesting it may eventually reach $3 trillion. The company’s annualized revenue run rate surged from $9 billion at the end of 2025 to $47 billion in May, with expectations to hit $100–$120 billion by the end of 2026. Meanwhile, SpaceX completed its $60 billion all-stock acquisition of Anysphere, the developer of the AI coding tool Cursor. Cursor is now a wholly owned subsidiary within the new SpaceXAI division. The deal involved issuing about 391 million SpaceX Class A shares and grants Cursor access to SpaceX’s compute resources, including the Colossus supercomputer. SpaceX shares fluctuated after the deal, with analysts tying bullish price targets to Cursor’s growth. Additionally, investor Ron Baron projected SpaceX’s valuation could reach $20–$40 trillion in the next 10–15 years, driven by Starlink’s anticipated revenue growth, plans for orbital AI data centers, and reduced launch costs from Starship.
