Hyperscale Data sells Bitcoin to fund Michigan expansion

Hyperscale Data sold 685 Bitcoin for $43M to expand its Michigan data center, reduce debt, and maintain liquidity, while keeping 275 Bitcoin and reaffirming its long-term crypto strategy.

Hyperscale Data has sold approximately 685 Bitcoin for about $43 million in cash, reducing its holdings to around 275 Bitcoin. The primary purpose of this sale is to fund the ongoing development and expansion of its Michigan data center. Additionally, the company will use roughly $30 million from the proceeds to reduce debt, while also enhancing its financial flexibility for managing equity and capital structure. Despite this significant transaction, Hyperscale Data emphasized that it remains committed to its long-term Bitcoin accumulation strategy. The company clarified that the sale is a strategic allocation of capital at this stage and does not signal a shift away from its crypto-focused approach. Looking ahead, Hyperscale Data plans to continue mining Bitcoin and gradually rebuild its holdings, depending on mining output, asset prices, liquidity needs, and market conditions. The company also expects to complete the spin-off of its subsidiary, Ault Capital Group, in 2027, after which it will focus on data center operations and digital asset holdings.
